A few words about me and some more about my easy crafts for kids....

Well firstly, hello and thank you for visiting my kids craft web-site, where you can find easy crafts for kids of all ages to make and enjoy.

My name is Becky and I am mum to two wonderful, cheeky, creative little boys who quite often beg to make box models when I'm still in my dressing gown! I also work as a child-minder, caring for children from as young as 3 months right up to teenagers, and have often found that easy crafts for kids to make can entice even the most reluctant children to join in and have fun.

I studied Art and Design at college, then at university and I gained my BA Hons Degree in 2003. When my eldest son was born I put my design career on hold to be at home with him and my second son who came along 2 years later. I found being at home with my children fantasticly rewarding, and so retrained as a registered childminder. A wonderful job which allows me to work from home with my own children around me and to make dens and playdough models and run around in the park all day long!

I soon realised that that if I wanted to combine my love of crafts with my passion for working with children, kids crafts would be the way to go. I was quite happy making yoghurt pot girrafes and box-model robots with the children I care for at home, until my mum suggested I create a web-site that would broadcast my craft ideas to the world!

When I thought about her suggestion I realised that (as most mums are) she was quite probably right. I was relying much more on my own imagination for my craft projects, than I was on other peoples craft books or web-sites, so I decided to take the plunge.

I now have three jobs....full-time mum, child-minder and most recently web-site author and designer! I really hope you enjoy the crafts I have shared so far, I'm pretty new to web-building but am very much enjoying the challenge. I am adding more and more easy crafts for kids each week, so please keep checking back to see whats new.
