Valentine Craft Ideas

Potato printing turned out to be a brilliant Valentine craft idea. I carved heart shapes into some ordinary potatoes and the kids just got stuck straight in!

They tried out different colours and patterns, worked out how hard they had to print and how much paint they needed to use.

Then once their prints had dried we used them for all sorts of Valentine crafts. For kids to be so free with their crafts was brilliant to see; they really did have fun with this one!

Homemade Valentine Cards

Kids of any age can have a go at making their own homemade Valentine cards, and there are an endless variety of ideas that you could try out.

The first card idea my kids wanted to make was this colourful collage with pretty heart shaped flowers and vintage buttons.

The really lovely thing about this valentine craft for kids was that each card we made looked really different.

The childrens own style and imagination really shone through as they took the basic collage idea and added their own creative flair!
